Centre-based Nursing

Our devoted team of nurses at the centre is dedicated to providing holistic care for our clients, addressing their physical, emotional, psychological, intellectual, social and spiritual needs.  Their responsibilities encompass conducting comprehensive health assessments, administering medications and performing treatments like simple wound dressing.  They consistently monitor, record and report clients’ conditions, including vital signs and blood glucose levels. 

Our nurses actively collaborate with other agencies, such as restructured and community hospitals and government bodies like AIC, to formulate comprehensive client care plans.  Our range of nursing care includes, but is not limited to:

• Post-surgical wound management
• Insertion of nasogastric tube
• Care of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) tube and dressing
• Wound management (Stage I to Stage IV wounds)
• Urinary catheter care and change of female urinary catheters
• Tracheostomy care and dressing
• Stoma care – colostomy and ileostomy care
• Care of nephrostomy tube and dressing
• Assistance with bowel elimination (e.g. enema or insertion of suppositories)
• Post-procedural medication administration
