About Us

History

Muhammadiyah Health & Day Care Centre (MHCC) is a non-profit organisation that provides community-based healthcare, daycare and rehabilitation programmes for the elderly suffering from post-stroke conditions, Parkinson’s disease, post-amputation, arthritis and rheumatism.

Our centre was established on 15th November 1997 and is currently serving 115 clients of all race, religion and beliefs.

Our Objectives

MHCC is dedicated to delivering comprehensive and holistic healthcare services to the community, with special focus on the elderly, with the purpose of enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life.  The key objectives encompass:

  1. Providing access to centre-based and home-based healthcare services.
  2. Establishing and maintaining drop-in centres to encourage socialisation and promote active ageing lifestyle.
  3. Providing training and guidance to caregivers to enable them to deliver better care to their loved ones and enhance their quality of life.
  4. Providing training and guidance to volunteers who contribute towards MHCC’s mission of caring for the elderly.
  5. Advocating to the public on the importance of healthy and active ageing, raising awareness and promoting positive ageing practices, including the importance of Advance Care Planning.
  6. Engaging the community and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to achieve MHCC’s goals.
  7. Continuously exploring and implementing innovative approaches to elderly care and well-being.

 

Within this framework, MHCC is not just a healthcare provider; it is a community dedicated to ensuring that our elderly population not only ages but ages with dignity, joy and a supportive network.
